There is an intensity around Lauren Foree. It pulsates. It is a product of her vivid and brilliant mind. Her eyes can hardly conceal that she is twelve steps ahead of you at any one point, and most likely already turning your story into her next canvas.
Born and raised in Oklahoma, she bears none of the sensibilities of her mid-west youth. She stands statuesque and lean, her body well appointed with gorgeous ink.
She lives as vibrantly and beautifully as she paints.
Her style is distinctive and bright. Her brush strokes belie a delicacy of her touch that can only be appreciated when the works are viewed in close range. She has a wild appreciation for color and sees the world with brutality and beauty. There is a rage on her canvas. And more, also a mournful desire to see the world differently, with vibrancy and innocence.
