Kailey Boronat is a 3rd generation poet and Portland native who began writing when she was just 7 years old. Taking after her grandfather, Charlie Schubert, a well-known gardener, clock restorer, and owner of the famous Beaverton Bakery, she embraces grief and the undertones of the Pacific Northwest in a style that is pessimistic and cathartic and with a strong sense of empathy.
